I've been to NYC twice already but never bothered to put up any pictures. My first visit was for less than 24 hours and for my friend's wedding. A few months later Hans and I visited newly-wed Amber and her husband Evan for a weekend. Here are some photos.
In October 2011 I took the train up to New York (by far my favorite way to travel). Amber's reception was going to be in Brooklyn later that evening, so I had a few hours to check out the city.

....and a short walk through Central Park
In January 2012 we stayed with Amber and Evan. That Saturday Amber had a class, so Evan graciously invited us to a delicious brunch with one of his friends. Later we walked through the bitter wind to the Meatpacking District and walked the High Line. We met up with Amber later in the afternoon for lunch at a pub, then hit the Guggenheim Museum for the eye-popping Maurizio Cattelan exhibition. I won't try to describe it. Read about it here.
Sometimes the shadows of the exhibit were interesting.
We still haven't done a full see-the-sights trip yet. It's on The List.
