Fifteenmile Creek

Take a look at this silly pup!

This was our first "trip" anywhere since the world came to a standstill shortly after our return from Italy.  We are fortunate in that this year's autumn season has been cool and clear, unlike the muggy and hot end of summer that we experienced last year.  This is our second time staying at a campground along the Chesapeake and Ohio canal towpath, now a 184-mile recreational trail.  These little lesser-visited places are a quiet reprieve along the Potomac River.  Most of the campgrounds have a boat launch if that's your thing and direct access to the canal trail either on foot or bicycle.  Kobuk was rewarded with a nice long walk in about as perfect afternoon weather as one could hope for.  We stayed up late roasting marshmallows and watching the stunning moonrise to the east.  Hans brought his new full frame camera along and took some pretty nice pictures.  Larger format ones for download can be found at the end of this post.
